Sunday Spotlight Sessions

Spotlight Sessions meets
every other Sunday
from 2-6pm
at
The Magic Time Machine in San Antonio.■Material is assigned in advance so every session hits the ground running.Each class opens with handouts and discussion, vocal warm-ups, and exercises built around that trimester's focus.Then we get into scene study, monologues, and performance practice anchored in the methods of the master teachers.■One trimester might dig into memorization, intense performances and period acting.The next might push into horror, comedy and commercial acting.Each trimester builds toward a professionally lit recording session.You leave with footage and new skills.
Every trimester.■Beginners are welcome.

THE APPROACH

Steve pulls from the great masters including Stanislavski, Hagen, Meisner, Adler, and yes, sometimes even Strasberg.The full toolkit, including the parts other teachers skip.This room is honest. Steve will tell you exactly what isn't working
and exactly how to fix it.But this isn't a room where you perform for approval. You're here to experiment in safety, fail, be truly encouraged, try again, and find something powerfully true.

That's the whole point.No performance pressure.No bullshit.Just the work.

ABOUT STEVE

Steve Pena has been acting and coaching for over 40 years.He was personally recruited to teach by the late Cliff Osmond, legendary character actor and Armand Assante's personal coach.He spent two decades in Los Angeles accumulating on-camera credits, including shared dialogue with Val Kilmer, before returning to San Antonio with one mission: bring the real training home.He is one of the sharpest acting minds working in Texas.He will figure out what is blocking you faster than you will.
